The Dream Continues...and i don't care to be awakened...

The Rockies roll on. Beating the self-destructing Padres 7-3. The boys knocked out Greg Maddux early (in the 4th) and brought home a big win today. In the past week the Kids have swept the Dodgers and the Padres...no small task.

As it stands the Rockies are 1.5 games from the WildCard leader, San Diego. and 4 back from division leader Arizona.

Not that winning 83 games in MLB is something to hang your hat on - but, the Rockies set their franchise season high by winning their 84th game today.

A day off on Monday will help rest the bullpen and this year's MVP (i don't care to hear any argument on this...as if someone reads it...) Matt Holliday. Then on Tuesday they begin a 3-game set in LA, a team that would only be happy to spoil everything ... (If i am a Dodger, nothing would make me happier than to ruin a contender's run)
If we can get 2 of 3 from the Dodgers...then we can lay it all on the line as the "Over-Achieving" Diamondbacks come to the Coors Field confines next weekend. A Rockies sweep would be required.
Its my dream .... I will wake up when i please...

Rockies still rolling....

Brad Hawpe - en fuego!

Rocks win 6-2 tonite over the Padres making 9/22 the latest date that i really cared since 1995.

Keep the dream alive...

Rockies nip the Padres in 14...

Up late tonite basking in the glow of a dream of postseason baseball in the Rockies.
Brad Hawpe poked a 14th inning dinger (does it hurt to poke a dinger?) and the Rocks inched a bit closer.

The win moved Colorado to 3.5 games out of the wild card and 5 games off the division lead - with 8 games left. This still seems insurmoutable - but they are playing the teams in front of them (SD and Arizona) 5 more times in the final 8 games.

I wonder if i can get a Yuwie referral and sign up Todd Helton. He only makes 17mil...i am sure he could use some extra cash. Will keep you all posted on my progress there.

What on earth is happening where we have to see former NFl stars testifying in Washington for the purpose of getting some better retirement benefits. There are hudreds of former players who gave their heart, sould and more literally - their bodies for the game and enabled the NFL to reap enormous incomes over the past 20 and 30 years. The NFL needs to act on this swiftly and save its own face - not to mention the dignity of its alumni.

Pre-Paid Legal information

I recently signed up for a membership and as a Pre-Paid Legal Independent Associate.

Since then, i went through a constant roller-coaster ("what have i gotten into?"...."this will be great!"...."what have i gotten into?"...."this will be great!"....)

I have done some research on the company and have provided some links below. There are pros and cons. I tried to remain totally objective. I get uneasy when thinking about "multi-level" or "network" marketing. Many MLMs appear to be no more than pyramid schemes.

According to Wikipedia, pyramid scheme is a non-sustainable business model that involves the exchange of money primarily for enrolling other people into the scheme, usually without any product or service being delivered.

I don't believe that Pre-Paid Legal can be considered a pyramid scheme - because there is a real and to many, valuable product/service being delivered. Also, I don't believe that a pyramid scheme can stay in business for 35 years - nor can one get traded on the NYSE.

  • Pre-paid legal's Yahoo stock ticker - click
  • Article from Forbes - click
  • Some pro's and con's from CBC (Canada) - click
  • Complaints and rebuttals from Ripoff Report (virtually all of 35 complaints have a rebuttal)-click
  • Better Business Bureau listing - click

I am satisfied that I have done my homework, and am happy with my uplines. I don't believe that they have mislead me into believing that i am going to be rich tomorrow, next week - or even next month. I do believe that i can make a few hundred dollars in the next month or two, and from that we will see how it goes.
