Who are these guys?

I am thinking that is the question that baseball fans in Philly as well as most east-coast baseball media, when they think of the Colorado Rockies.

The Kids from Blake Street have reeled off the following accomplishments...

• Won 13 of 14 games (including sweeps in San Diego and LA) to finish the season in a tie with San Diego for the National League Wild Card spot.
• Came from 2 runs down in the bottom of the 13th to beat the Padres in the tie-breaker game.
• Swept the Philadelphia Phillies to advance to the NL Championship Series against Arizona.

This is the stuff of wild dreams. I have never, nor, probably will i ever, have this much fun following a baseball pennant run.

Still fast asleep...

I couldn't post anything last week because i was too drained after each game during the Rockies incredible streak. Monday night was the ultimate culmination of an incredible playoff drive as the Rocks ignored a 2-run deficit in the 13th inning and came back a stole the game and the final playoff spot from San Diego.

Following suit - the "Blake Street Boys Club" went into Philly today and delivered a nice little hook to the jaw of the Phillies.

This is too much fun.
